I’m not old Witch Hunt Trump Witch Halloween Shirt enough to have lived through AIDS when it hit, but it was engraved into our culture both through gay media remembering a time when straight politicians ignored us and let us die, and also because all of our sexual practices have continued to be stigmatized because of HIV, aka that we are still unable to donate blood. In approximately 72 countries homosexuality is still illegal. In some countries, gays are beaten, thrown off of buildings, or they are given a choice to transition into women as that is more accepted. I hate to say it but no country can change stuff like this. Laws won’t change prejudices. There’s still a good portion of society that wants nothing to do w gays.
