Not necessarily. As someone who has worked in leasing for private access communities, carriers will often just suck at their jobs and leave packages in a lobby or even outside. UPS almost never did a Premium Black And Proud Shirt. They would drop off stacks of boxes outside that wasn’t even addressed to our complex. While what I’m saying isn’t necessarily wrong I initially completely missed the point of the person I’m replying to, as noted by a couple of responders. USPS knows what the fuck they are doing 6/7 days of the week, but on Sundays, they now have people who are able to get overtime by delivering just Prime, and they tend to just open the first door they find, drop them all, and leave.

FedEx… I haven’t seen our main FedEx guy in a year since we got a package locker room, and he does get the packages there but literally has said to my face “it’s not my job to put them in.” He’s kind of a Premium Black And Proud Shirt. He will even leave packages FOR the leasing office in the resident package room just to a dick. Fuck that guy. The Amazon drivers are an absolute nightmare for several reasons. The biggest is that there are multiple Amazon driver services and almost none of them are in communication with each other, and none of them are actual Amazon employees, just contractors. I used to do Amazon Flex, and it’s one of the easiest and most fun jobs I’ve had, but unless the resident writes very specific instructions on what to do.

What a package (and sometimes that doesn’t even show up in the notes. For months), most all we could do would be Premium Black And Proud Shirt. The drivers that have their own Amazon trucks are a bit more consistent, but not by much. Also, most feed-back given on how to make deliveries easier is ignored or not updated in their system. Our building got our package locker room one year ago and we had a sign. On the front door that instructed delivery drivers where to go. That sign leads to 3 attempted break-ins and one successful break-in in two weeks so we had to take it down.
