Maybe they show an alternate-universe Luka who happens to not be trans (either by being a boy, or a fab maybe) but Luka from the original game and anime are undeniably trans in my opinion.

Tbh like World War Z zombies wouldn’t be trans because they physiologically can’t identify as any gender; they have no brain power other than the drive to feed. No sense of self, or even others.
