If the GOP were to pass the House stimulus or the package Trump has pushed, it would 1.4-3.5 trillion, to the already existing deficit. We are talking about a 5-7 trillion total deficit. Something the GOP would never, ever be able to walk back, while they complain about Democrat spending. But they know that when Biden gets elected. He has to pass this stimulus then. So they can put off passing stimulus now.
