Even if I’d gone through with being a teacher, I think I would only be able to teach high schoolers and above. At an age where it’s 70% actually explaining stuff/doing academic work and 30% putting on a show to make sure they’re listening, instead of the other way around. I’ve worked with elementary kids at summer camps, and while they’re a lot of fun, I never feel like I’m teaching them actual stuff, more like here’s how to be a functional human! Step one – please do NOT put your finger up someone else’s nose.

They’re educating the next generation and yet so many governments do not want them to be compensated fairly for their hard work. The older they are, the need for good teachers is vital. If you’re a good teacher you will have a huge role to play in their success as they continue to grow. I still fondly remember every teacher of mine that had faith in me and my abilities. I owe them a lot. It’s thanks to every teacher and professor that I am now in a career I love and am succeeding i.
